Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GoalHub ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares information when you use the GoalHub: Football Scores mobile application (the "App", package com.goalhub.livescore) distributed on Google Play.
GoalHub is an independent football information app. It does not provide betting, gambling, sports wagering, real-money rewards or financial transactions of any kind.
The short version
- You can use GoalHub without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number to follow scores.
- The App is free and supported by advertising. To show ads, measure installs and keep the App stable, we use third-party SDKs: Google Firebase, Google AdMob, Adjust and the Facebook (Meta) SDK.
- These partners process device identifiers (including your Advertising ID), app events and approximate, IP-derived location for analytics and ad measurement.
- On first launch you'll see a consent prompt (Google UMP). Your choice controls whether ads are personalised.
- We do not sell your personal data to data brokers, and we never handle your payment card details.
- You can reset or limit your Advertising ID, withdraw ad consent, and request access or deletion of your data at any time — see Your Rights & Choices.
1. Information we process directly
GoalHub is designed to work with as little personal information as possible. We do not require an account. The information processed in connection with the App includes:
App content & preferences
- Your followed competitions, favourite teams and matches, and the alerts you set (kickoff, goal, full-time).
- App settings and preferences (e.g. language, notification choices).
- These are stored primarily on your device. They are not linked to your real-world identity.
Permissions the App requests
- Internet / network state — to load live scores, fixtures, standings and statistics, and to serve ads.
- Notifications (
POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — to deliver the match alerts you opt into. You can disable these any time in Android Settings. - Advertising ID (
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) — used by our advertising and attribution partners to measure ads and limit ad frequency. Required to be declared on Android 13+.
GoalHub does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, call logs, precise (GPS) location, or files on your device.
Device & usage data
- Device model, operating-system version, language, country/region, and a resettable advertising identifier.
- Approximate location derived from your IP address (country/region level) — we do not collect precise GPS location.
- Anonymous, aggregated usage events (e.g. screens viewed, features used) and crash diagnostics.
Support communications
- If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message so we can respond.
2. Third-party SDKs we use
The App embeds the following third-party software development kits (SDKs). Each operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
Google Firebase — Google LLC
- Purpose: app analytics, crash reporting (Crashlytics), push notifications for match alerts (Cloud Messaging), and remote configuration.
- Data processed: app instance ID, device model, OS version, language, country, screen views, anonymised in-app events, and crash stack traces.
- Privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google AdMob — Google LLC
- Purpose: serving the advertising that keeps GoalHub free.
- Data processed: Google Advertising ID, coarse IP-derived location, and ad-interaction events. Personalised versus non-personalised ads depend on your consent.
- Consent: we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain GDPR/CCPA-aligned consent before serving personalised ads.

Adjust — Adjust GmbH (an AppLovin company)
- Purpose: measuring app installs and marketing-campaign performance, and preventing install fraud.
- Data processed: Advertising ID, hashed device fingerprint, install timestamp and conversion events.
- Privacy policy: adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy
Facebook (Meta) SDK — Meta Platforms, Inc.
- Purpose: attribution and measurement of advertising campaigns run on Meta platforms. It is not used for Facebook login or to access your Facebook profile.
- Data processed: Advertising ID, app install/open events and conversion events.

Your choices regarding these SDKs
- Reset or delete your Advertising ID: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (path may vary by device). On Android 12+ you can delete the Advertising ID entirely, after which apps receive a string of zeros.
- Decline personalised ads: choose "Do not consent" / manage options in the consent prompt shown on first launch. You can re-open it from the App's settings.
- Opt out of analytics: email us using the address below and we will honour your request where technically feasible.
3. What we do not collect
- We do not read your SMS or call logs.
- We do not access your contacts.
- We do not collect precise (GPS) location.
- We do not use your camera or microphone.
- We do not access your photo or media library.
- We do not collect or store payment-card data — the App is free and contains no in-app purchases.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information to data brokers.
Note: because the App is ad-supported, the advertising and attribution partners listed in Section 2 are by their nature advertising and analytics providers. Sharing with them is described transparently above and is governed by your consent choices.
4. How we use information
- To deliver live scores, fixtures, standings, statistics and the match alerts you request.
- To keep the App stable, diagnose crashes and improve performance.
- To display advertising that funds the free App, and to measure that advertising.
- To understand, in aggregate, which features are useful so we can improve them.
- To respond to your support requests and comply with legal obligations.
5. Sharing & third parties
We share information only as needed to operate the App:
- Google — Play distribution, Firebase services and AdMob advertising.
- Adjust — install attribution and measurement.
- Meta Platforms — advertising attribution and measurement.
- Infrastructure providers — that host the football data and serve API responses.
- Legal compliance — where required by law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.

7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR (EU/UK), the CCPA/CPRA (California) and similar laws, including the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Request a portable copy of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Opt out of personalised advertising / "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising — manage this through the in-app consent prompt and Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.

8. Children's Privacy
GoalHub is intended for users aged 13 and older (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App is not directed to children, and the advertising and analytics SDKs we use are not configured for child-directed treatment under Google Play's Families policy. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
The App's data partners (Google, Adjust, Meta) may process information in the United States, the European Union and other countries. Where data is transferred internationally, those providers rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
10. Security
We rely on Android's app sandbox and scoped storage, and connections to our data and SDK endpoints use HTTPS/TLS encryption. While no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data the App processes.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and may notify you through the App or the Google Play release notes. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
